For my re-purposing project, I started with an essay I wrote in English 325 about my experience as a teacher assistant at a hispanic migrant education program in Southwest Michigan. From that essay, I decided to write a comparative analysis essay that looked at the lives of migrant farmworkers and their lack of opportunities versus the lives of modern nomads. For my re-mediation project, I kept my argument the same as in the re-purposing, but I changed my medium to be more visual. I created three posters, each comparing the lifestyles of migrant farmworkers and modern nomads, with added text to properly convey my message to people who may not know anything about the topic.
