For this project, I re-purposed a creative nonfiction personal narrative from English 325 about my work experience at a migrant education program. In this new piece, I changed my argument to a comparative analysis between the lifestyles of migrant farmworkers and modern nomads to show the lack of opportunities that are available to children of migrant farmworkers. My audience for this piece is anyone, whether they are aware of these lifestyles or not. I could see my piece being in The Atlantic magazine, where there are informative essays and opinion pieces that speak to politics and culture, two areas which revolve around this piece and my interest in social work.
